Farm to Family Urban Farm Communal Skillshare
February 8 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm EST| Free
The Farm To Family urban farm will serve as a low cost/low-risk entry point for community members to participate in sustainable local food production. The urban farm will serve as space for the incubation of small farmers providing individuals of low income and limited farm experience with a space to acquire the skills necessary to start their own farm enterprises and/or to work cooperatively as farm enterprises while building their capacity to meet community and market needs.
The census tract in which the urban farm will be located has been identified by the USDA as a food desert.
